Google Quality Score - Increase Your Quality Score in 5 Minutes Or Less

by Steven Hill

There is a huge amount of discussion about Google quality score, but I have news for you…getting a great quality score is not that hard.
In fact, I took a campaign from zero to hero in 5 minutes. This campaign is actually one keyword phrase that I was doing testing on. The impressions were effectively zero, and I couldn’t do ad variation testing when no one was looking at the ads. Prior to the changes, the quality score was "OK".
So, I decided to tweak my landing page a bit to see if I could increase my quality score. As a basis for my tweaks, I used some very simple SEO concepts.
The first thing I checked was the frequency and location of the keywords on the landing page. One keyword was not even present, so I added that where it made sense. I also wanted the first two keywords of the phrase in the page title or near the top. Changing the title didn’t make any sense, so I created a header just below the title which was the first two keywords.

Google Optimization

by Paul Giles

In mathematical terms, a "googol" is a number 1 followed by 100 zeros. Google, known to be the world’s most powerful search engine, play on this term to reflect the company’s mission to organize the immense amount of information available on the web. See, even though few people know what a "googol" is, everyone is familiar with and uses Google.
In our busy modern age, Google offers a universe of information organized in an accessible and effective way. Such is the popularity of the search engine, that more often than not, if we want to search for something on the internet we "Google it".
70% of UK internet searches now come from Google
Indeed, in recent years, search engine usage has become increasingly dominated by Google. Over 70% of UK internet searches now come from Google, a fact that has not escaped the savvy business man. Companies now realise that one of the most effective ways of marketing a product or service is via internet search engines. If the creation of the internet shaped modern day commerce, then the future of marketing is also on the web. Unquestionably, if you own a website and are looking to promote it, getting a good spot on Google can be extremely profitable.

Google and Understanding Page Rank and What it Means to YOU

by Chuck St. Arnaud

Google Page Rank is an important measurement tool of how you are ranked by Google. PageRank is their perception of the quality and creditability of a in individual web site/page. Google reports this as a number from 0-10 (10 being the best). So if your web page and your competitors web site has the same relevance - then whomever has the higher PageRank gets the better ranking. This is why PageRank is so important.
There is near unanimous agreement that PageRank is primarily determined by the number of web sites or pages that are linking to your site. Google considers these links as a vote of confidence. They are always seeking relevancy and value. They also rank the "links" to you and believe me not all links are created equal. In other words, the more credibility that the link has, the more important it is to your ranking. How is this credibility determined? They use their PageRank (of course) to determine the link value. As an example, let’s say that your best friend Mark has a web site or blog and he links to you. Let’s also say that Mark’s PageRank is 3 and has limited inbound links. This link from your buddy will certainly help you because Google loves inbound links but it help you more if you can find 100 or more Marks web sites with a PageRank of 3 to link to you.
If you can get a single link form a web site that has a Page Range of 6, it’ll help you more than 100 Mark’s sites. Why, because the PageRank 6 site is considered more valuable and relevant. From my research, it appears that Google PageRank falls into four broad categories:

Google Adsense - The Easiest Money To Make Online?

by Monica Molzen

For the last couple of months, Google Adsense has dominated forums, discussions and newsletters all over the Internet. Already, there are tales of fabulous riches to be made and millions made by those who are just working from home. It seems that Google Adsense have already dominated the internet marketing business and is now considered the easiest way to making money online.
The key to success with Adsense is the placing of ads on pages that are receiving high traffic for high demand keywords. The higher the cost-per-click to the advertiser, the more you will receive per click from your site. Obviously, it does not pay to target low cost-per-click keywords and place them on pages that do not receive hits.
With all the people getting online and clicking away everyday, it is no wonder why Google Adsense has become an instant hit.
For some who are just new to this market, it would be a blow to their pride knowing that their homepage is buried somewhere in the little ads promoting other people’s services. But then, when they get the idea that they are actually earning more money that way, all doubts and skepticism is laid to rest.

Getting Website Traffic

by Edward T

With hundreds of websites now operating to provide information of different tastes, it is no wonder for website developers or owners to find it very necessary for them to drive traffic to their respective portals for popularity’s sake.
The problem is that website traffic is something that does not just happen automatically. The fact that there are many websites out there makes it less possible for people to stumble upon your portals by accident.
So how do you get website traffic by then? One good news left is that there are several ways to drive website traffic easily and quickly for people to note of. The most common is blogging, which works to increase traffic counts by linking your site to other portals. However, this method only works effectively if your blog entries are worth reading. This is where the importance of posting relevant and interesting blog entries comes in.
Creating RSS feeds for websites is but another effective strategy in increasing traffic counts. The main drawback of this method though is that, just like blogging, the presence of relevant information is badly needed.

Get A Boost For Your Business With Search Engine Optimization

by Bruce Swedal

There lies enormous potential in the search engine optimization industry. There are a few concerns with it also reliability issues, labor shortages and limited reliability with the return on investment. Once a search engine optimization company does earn a positive reputation their business soars.
Spending for search engine optimization is on the rise due to marketers realizing the importance of a having a strong internet presence. Still many businesses fall short of their goals with it because they look at it in terms of a one-time event rather than an ongoing program. SEO is a continuous and ongoing effort for online rankings.
On the other hand there are still companies that have yet to launch their first SEO effort. Unfortunately these businesses are falling farther behind every day. Losing ground that is mainly due to lack of knowledge, proficiency and ongoing efforts.

Five Tips For Top Google Ranking In Less Than 30 Minutes

by Tim Warren

Want to reach millions of your best prospects looking for what you’re promoting in minutes? You can do this profitably with Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising, also called sponsored links, located on the right hand side of a Google, Yahoo or MSN search. Placing PPC ads is fast, easy, targeted and cost effective - if done right.
Your classified-type PPC ads are displayed when someone does a search that matches the keyword categories you want to reach. You only pay a fee when someone clicks on your specific ad. Cost per click (CPC) range from .05 to way over $5 per click. CPC is determined by the competitiveness of the keyword phrases and factors described below.
PPC Ad Strategies for Profit
PPC ads are an ideal bridge strategy (until your natural ranking campaign kicks in) to pursue less competitive phrases, promote special events and target specific geographic regions.
Let’s say you want to promote a Dinner Theater & Wine Tasting Tour, you have 20 spaces open and know your best clients come from nearby affluent cities. With PPC ads, you display various wine tour promotions, target different keyword phrases, try different text ads and your ad only shows up when someone did a matching keyword search in your target cities. With real time results, you’ll know fast what combination of keyword phrases, ads and cities has the highest click-through rate (CTR) for the lowest cost per click (CPC).

Five Reasons Why You Need a WordPress Blog

by Erin Blaskie

Back in December, I decided that I wanted to try something new and fresh with my website. I was also getting tired of the standard websites with their uniform look and I didn’t really feel like I was getting any benefit from it. So, I did a bit of research and decided that I wanted to try a blogging platform and after a bit more research, I chose Wordpress.
Before I fully converted to the blog, I was receiving approximately 900 unique visitors each month.
- By January, one month after I converted, I was receiving 1300 unique visitors.
- By February it had grown to 2500 unique visitors
- In March, it had grown to 4000 unique visitors in the month.
That is four times the traffic I started with!
So, let’s look at the top five reasons why you need a WordPress blog:
1. Blogs are User-Friendly and Very Easy to Use
The upside to having blog software as opposed to a website is that it is very user-friendly. The blog uses a GUI, or a graphic-user interface, which means that that everything that you may need to do is laid out in simple to understand graphics. The blogging software also conforms to the standards of most other software programs. For example, the graphic icons you see in Microsoft Office programs are very similar to the graphics you’ll see inside of your blog.
The reason that this is so important is that YOU can update your OWN website and you don’t need to pay high prices in web design fees to do so! There is no messing around with HTML code, you can avoid having a dull, lifeless site that people only visit occasionally and instead, you can update it yourself and give people a reason to return again and again and again.
The other upside to this is that when you want something changed quickly, you can do so. You no longer have to wait on a web designer or a virtual assistant, you can just pop in to the dashboard and update the page you need to make changes to and click save and boom - you’re done!
Making regular posts is also easy to do. In a few, short clicks and then some keystrokes for the body of your post, you can have fresh, new content on your blog immediately. If you’re feeling particularly creative one day, you can write a series of posts and save them all to post on future dates. For me, I will write eight or nine blog entries at a time and save them to post one or two days apart. This is also useful if you are going on vacation. In February, my husband and I went to the Dominican for a vacation and before I left, I wrote blog entries to cover the week I was gone and just posted them in advance. On the days that I specified, my blog entries showed up on the blog!
2. Blogs Are Easy to Navigate
