One of the challenges faced by entrepreneurs who open a dollar store or a discount store is inventory management. One of the inventory management nightmares is finding methods to quickly liquidate excess, slow selling and outdated items. One potential method for handling this headache is using Craigslist to sell off that inventory in volume quantities.
If you are about to open a dollar store it is worth your time to become familiar with Craigslist and how it works. You might even attempt to make a few purchases. That experience will be helpful when the time comes to actually use the resource to sell off merchandise.
There are several potential advantages to using Craigslist. First, sales can be made in your local area. That reduces transportation costs. It also means that you are dealing with prospective buyers in your time zone; there won’t be any middle of the night telephone inquiries about the items you have for sale!
