Why should you have your business listed on the web.
If you have a website or a blog for your business, you must make it known. It is no use if you have a website and no one visit it. You won’t have any customers or just a few. Your business must be a presence all over the internet, you must be a voice among your competitors.
Let’s say someone is looking to buy something you sell. If he searches the web with a search engine and your website is not in the first five results, you definitely loose, loose more. If he searches a web directory, or a set of web directories, and he don’t find you there, he will find your competitors for sure, and you loose again.
As you understand, the more your website is spread on the internet, the best. Your site will have a great exposure to visitors on the web, and also in the search engines results; and so you will have a greater part of the full fruit.
Where should you list your business company
First of all go and submit your site to the search engines, generally to the major ones: Google, Yahoo and MSN. It will take some time until your site will get indexed by them. To accelerate this process, have other sites link to yours. In other words, continue the process of listing your business on the web.
Open a blog for your business website, describing your business and letting people now about anything it’s new in your business. Don’t forget to link it to your main website.
